Alecto trigger adjustment. Hi, I have a Webley Alecto and the trigger from the factory was really far back, so I adjusted it so it was quite a bit lighter further forwards in action.

The manual says not to go too far otherwise it could false release during the priming procedure. Does anyone know how far is too far or is it a case of try it and see? The last thing I want is it going off when it's being cocked and there's a pellet in the chamber. Any help appreciated.

Try it without pellets in for a dozen shots or so. Cheers Nick, that was plan B, but wanted to see if someone had gone through the pain of it first. All times are GMT. The time now is PM. The front post is quite long, and I would suggest a small dot of Tippex or white paint added to this to enhance it. I was shooting 1-inch groups at 7 metres in no time at all, and I have to say that it was fairly consistent throughout the first 35 shots. Loading a 12g CO2 canister into this pistol is just about as easy as it gets. Simply unscrew the end cap from the reservoir, insert the CO2 canister nipple first, then replace the end cap and tighten it down. If you insert this into the hole provided on the side of the end cap, it gives you just that bit of extra turning power to get the end cap tightened down in order to pierce the CO2 canister inside.

I managed to get a good 40 shots out of each canister in the. It also comes supplied with a single-shot loading tray, also with a small locating grove, and which snaps into place thanks to the magnet system. Cocking the pistol is very easy via the bolt.

Don't Miss

Lift it up, pull all the way back until it clicks, then push forward and back down again to load the pellet into the breech. In fact, it is way less than 1lb of pressure at around 9oz, and a mere 6mm of travel. I found it extremely easy to operate, and although it is not adjustable, it seems as though Webley has got it set to appeal to most users. I had great fun shooting this pistol. The first incarnation of the Alecto was produced inand this latest MKV model is already proving be a big hit with both hobby shooters and those who like to dabble in Olympic-style, metre events — it really is a true all-rounder in every sense.

It comes supplied in a lockable hard case, with foam inserts that have been 3d anime character creator online out to accommodate the accessories included with the pistol. As well as the Alecto itself, you get; a cleaning rod, bottle of oil, an Allen key, screwdriver and a tool for removing the end cap from the end of the barrel, I presume so that you can fit a moderator.

You also get a spare set of smaller rear notch and front post sights. I found it really easy to cock, but you must note that you have to make sure you cock the lever all the way back in order to get a full cylinder of air. One full stroke of the over-lever produces a muzzle velocity of around fps, two strokes fps and three strokes fps. A relief valve ensures that the gun cannot exceed the legal maximum of 6 ft. The top of the action is moulded to look like that of a large pistol, such as the Desert Eagle; in fact, at first glance it looks very similar.

To release the over-lever you have to depress the twin catches on each side of the action. Once the over-lever has been fully cocked back, you have access to the barrel and breech, which is where you manually load your pellet. The adjustable palm rest is a really neat touch. I found that this pistol suited the size of my hand perfectly straight out of the box, but if you have slightly smaller or larger hands you can make this pistol fit you in an instant.

It is adjustable from 0. The pistol sent to me had the trigger set at just under 0. All the tools to tywe3s programming the trigger are included in the case, and there are in-depth instructions on how to adjust it, in the pamphlet provided.

The rear sight fitted on my pistol measures 4. The front post can be swapped out for a smaller one too. I did find this a little off-putting at first, and if I were to own one of these pistols I would definitely be getting out the modelling paint to add a white or red dot.

The rear sight is fully adjustable with the small screwdriver provided, and after a little tinkering I managed to get the sights bang on and was hitting pellet on pellet well almost at eight metres. It is insanely accurate and per cent recoilless. A few hours shooting with this pistol gave me confidence in my own ability, too, which really surprised me.

Please call to check stock. This website does not display live stock levels. The VMX features a solid bolt action.A side view of the Webley Alecto give some perspective of the grip size. It has an adjustable trigger blade, too. What struck me first was the size of the Alecto. The air transfer area. It even has a 70mm-long Picatinny rail under the front of the frame, and the trigger guard looks like that of a Desert Eagle, too. The top of the rail behind the front sight has a 75mm-long, 20mm sight rail moulded into it.

The grip is unashamedly a match-shooting grip. It has an adjustable palm rest to really get into the whole 10m paper punching vibe, and one clever piece of design is the ventilation holes in the right-hand side of the grip.

The whole grip is made of synthetic materials, with a soft touch finish, so after shooting for a while indoors or out in the sun, the palm could get sweaty because the grip is of such a close-fitting plastic, but the ventilation holes prevent this and also add grip to the surface. You get two sizes of rear notch, this is the smaller one. It can be used as a single-stroke pneumatic pistol, but the manual says it can be charges three times. I tested the power output of one and three charges; with one, it gave fps with 7.

When you open the action, the safety catch comes on automatically and flips backward to cover the front of the curved silver trigger blade. It can be pushed forward with the tip of the trigger finger to take it off, and can be easily reset to safe at any time. The action at full swing - you need space to cock this baby. The trigger is very good for a pistol and comes to a nice stop on the start of the second stage, which has a very short travel and breaks cleanly. The manual states that it can be adjusted from 0.

It measured in at 0. A test sheet with metres per second readings, is supplied — every tenth shot for 50 shots, as well as a five-shot group scored electronically at 10m.

Webley Alecto Mk 1, Mk2, Mk A place to discuss all things Webley. As this is probably the most collected airgun maker we felt it deserved a section of its own. Post by zooma » Mon Nov 04, pm Not a classic air pistol yet - but as a "born again" Webley air pistol collector this one passed me by just like the Nemesis did too but I understand that it has already had three different variants.

Finally - is the Mk 3 Alecto the current variant or is there a Mk4? I have just acquired an Alecto with the serial number - would I be correct to assume with this low number that I have a Mk1 Alecto?

Feinwerkbau P40 Tricolour wanted Post by zunmik » Mon Nov 04, pm Don't know all the variants, but early ones people had problems mounting a red dot on the top rail it needed grooves for the mounting screws which were only available in later variants, also I believe!! Post by zooma » Mon Nov 04, pm Did all Allecto's have the extra long trigger travel? I have no handbook but it would be nice to find a way to adjust the trigger weight. With such a long travel and no real let-off point before the trigger goes off it is hard to know when the pistol is going to fire.

It would be nice to have a shorter first travel prior to the actual fire point and then a slightly higher weight so it is possible to feel it and to have more control over exactly when it trips.Turkish gun python spice Hatsan have a long history in producing and powered air rifles.

However, largely due to the stock design it does have a character of its own and during testing I certainly warmed to the overall format. ABS What Else? Hatsan has chosen to go with the synthetic trend now quite literally taking over on many. Chequering is impregnated into the moulding at the grip but fluting is used along the top edge of the forend, which is very comfortable to hold due to the generously rounded profile and thickset rear section.

Charging is via a quick fill push in probe via an inlet at the front of the reservoir and a bar fill gives approximately 50 full power shots, with approximately 40 in.

One not so strange was the air gauge positioned at the very front of the air reservoir. Incidentally, the air reservoir is removable should you want to take a spare, and if going on a longish lamping session or feral pigeon cull you just might be glad you have one ready to replace the original.

The action is very familiar in layout reminding me of a cross between the HW due to the side-lever cocking whilst the shot removable steel magazine just screamed Webley Raider To remove the magazine you first need to pull back the side-lever, then push forward the magazine retaining pin.

This made me look more closely at the visible mechanical parts of the rifle and I was impressed at the standard of workmanship that had obviously gone into making them. Once the steel magazine is removed, you place a pellet into each of the 10 chambers and then replace it back into its housing, pulling back the retaining pin then pushing forward the holden eh. The Webley Raider is a single shot, or a two shot shuttle type or a raider 10,a ten shot version, so there are 3 variations on this model the latest versions are made in Turkey i believe.

The 2-stage adjustable trigger unit is quite classy looking due to the nicely curved and gold anodised blade. The action block is quite wide and lengthy, so Hatsan have made full use of this and machined not one but two sets of full-length scope rails.

Apparently one dovetail is to accommodate standard airgun mounts while the other accepts 22mm mounts — must be a Turkish thing! So no problems mounting this rifle with a lengthy scope or getting spot on eye-relief, and thanks to that sliding adjustable butt pad a precise head position is guaranteed for optimum gun control. At this stage balance and handling all seemed to be working nicely, the stock now tailored to my preference, and I was ready to set zero.

Though the Initially, in my opinion I presumed the AT overly pellet fussy. However, I discovered a strange trait while trying to set zero. When I found pellets that did group such as Air Arms Field and Daystate FT, I noticed my best groups at my set yd zero being sub-one-inch where due to me seating the pellets into the magazine in a specific way. Seems you need to seat them as flush as possible to the rear but obviously not protruding at the front or back. Also this magazine preferred longer pellets.

With a silencer upfront muzzle report is very low, accuracy is acceptable once you sort the loading and ammo but the handling and design of the stock and attention to detail of the metalwork and action are in my opinion what make this rifle a Turkish Delight!

Airgunsports shifted production of Webley air rifles to Turkey last year, where it also restarted production of shotguns. The company has now won significant extra orders and overseas sales.
